Adventure Forge

Fill what you know. Flag the rest as ✦ surprise me and the DM-AI invents it. Builds one prompt block to paste into a fresh chat alongside your dungeon JSON.

You'll need: your dungeon skeleton JSON (the map export from Export JSON — any filename is fine) and stage2-author-prompt-v1.3.1.md. Build the block below, then follow the paste-and-go steps that appear with it.

1

Premise

Set what you want, leave the rest on 🎲 Random, then spin the seed.

2

Party

List who's playing, or hand the whole roster to the DM-AI.

The DM-AI will assume 3 PCs at the level set below.
3

Run Settings

Tone, difficulty, and scope for this adventure.

DM-AI picks a fitting tone.
DM-AI defaults to tough but fair.
DM-AI uses whatever the JSON contains.
4

Continuity — optional

Carry one thread from a past session, or keep it standalone.

Campaign state is edited in campaign-state-editor (commits to GitHub).

No carry-over. This will be a standalone adventure.

Authoring (once per adventure): Open a fresh chat and choose the option that means most careful / thinks hardest (names differ by app — High, Expert, Think deeper, Extended thinking, etc.). This step invents the whole adventure, and you only do it once.

Upload your dungeon skeleton JSON (the map export — any filename is fine) and stage2-author-prompt-v1.3.1.md, paste the instruction block above, and send. Save all eight files it returns: module.md, run-data.json, continuity.json, map-art-brief.md, cast.md, cast.json, scenes.json, and music-cues.json. An adventure-name prefix is fine. Package those saved files with Cartridge Export.

What each file is
  • module.md — human DM script. Module Reader, Stage 3 chat.
  • run-data.json — numbers and structure. Module Reader, Stage 3, Module Validator.
  • continuity.json — next adventure’s memory, not table-side. Campaign State Editor.
  • map-art-brief.md — visual-only. Paste with the generator PNG into an image model.
  • cast.md / cast.json — tokens. Cast Viewer → Token Forge. JSON is the one tools load.
  • scenes.json — room reveals. Scene Viewer.
  • music-cues.json — soundtrack knobs. Music Viewer → Suno.

Running (every session): Open a new chat with a normal / everyday option — the hard inventing is already in those files.

Upload or paste:

Then the Director may say: Begin the session (will be asked about TableForge) or Begin the session with TableForge.

Tip: For a turn that gets extremely messy (legendary/lair actions, many saves at once), briefly switch to the careful option, then switch back.
